Informational Town Meeting hosted by ‘For AR Kids’ held in North Little Rock (katv.com)
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The group behind a proposed constitutional amendment that would require private schools that receive public money to meet the same standards as public schools held a town hall meeting tonight.
Channel 7 News were on location at the North Little Rock Justice Center where officials from the group calling itself “For AR Kids” held an informational town hall with voters.
Answering questions about the initiative and gathering signatures to place it on the November ballot.
The group opposes the voucher program in the LEARNS Act.
They want private schools who participate in the program to meet the same standards as public schools when it comes to admissions, transportation, and standardized testing.
