Arkansans for Limited Government
Arkansas Abortion Amendment
The Arkansas Abortion Amendment is a proposed constitutional amendment that would prevent the state government from prohibiting, penalizing, delaying or restricting abortion services up to 18 weeks after fertilization. It would also allow abortions after 18 weeks in cases of rape, incest, fatal fetal anomaly, or to protect the life or physical health of the pregnant woman.
If approved by voters, the amendment would override Arkansas’ current law that bans nearly all abortions except to save the life of the pregnant woman in a medical emergency.
